On Thursday, Vibe Magazine held their 1st Annual Style and Sound Honors Night Brunch at Caribbean Social, located in Brooklyn, New York. The exclusive event was to honor current notables that impact the fashion and music industry. The honorees included; InStyle Magazine’s Beauty Editor-at-Large, Kahlana Barfield-Brown, Spotify Global Head of Music Programming Tuma Basa, celebrity hair stylist Tish Celestine, award-winning UK rap star Stefflon Don, celebrity wardrobe stylist Rachel Johnson and Hot 97 Music Director and radio personality TT Torrez who were awarded by VIBE Editor-in-Chief and host for the evening Datwon Thomas along with Bonsu Thompson. In my opinion, I think Kourtney has the best street style. She is a mom of 3 and probably doesn’t have that much time to get all dolled up yet she does it with so much ease. She has a laid-back Cali vibe with a great eye for detail. She knows who she is and it shows in here style. Recently, the Kardashian/Jenner fam parted ways with big time stylist Monica Rose and now each has their own. I think Kourt’s new stylist gets her as her everyday looks embodies the Cali girl vibe. Speaking of our beautiful fashion forward First Lady, Michelle Obama, she has a secret weapon for always looking great at any occasion. Her secret weapon is 35 yr. old Meredith Koop! The Missouri native started her career as a sales associate at Chicago boutique Ikram. It was Meredith’s connection to the store’s owner, Ikram Goldman, that afforded her an introduction to then senator’s wife and Ikram client, Mrs. Obama.
