Rag & Bone Sneaker Game for the Spring

rag&bone

Looks like it’s time to clean out your shoe collection and make way for the fashion-girl staple primed to take over this spring. Don’t worry, it’s not a fussy sandal or blister-inducing heel (the athleisure trend is eliminating the need for those). Nope, we’re talking sneakers. And rag & bone is making it that much easier to slip into a minimal pair with its new Standard Issue Sneakers. Coming in a number of clean colorways, the canvas lace-ups are equal parts comfy and sleek—perfect whether you’re in for some weekend adventuring or off-duty chilling. They’ve already dropped in store so check out https://www.rag-bone.com/ to scoop  your pair!

Stella McCartney’s Star Studded Fashion Fiesta in a Garden

stella 5So yesterday Stella McCartney was going to be my WCW but I decided a little throwback Thursday would suffice as it was literally hands down one of the best fashion presentations I have ever attended. Alicia Keys tugging at her hair to one side and shaking maracas and Liv Tyler being silly with the cut out cardboard photo stand, what more could you ask for. Well maybe hanging with the likes of Maxwell, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Cara Delevinge, Miranda Kerr, Hannah Brohnman, Amber Valetta, St. Vincent, Dree Hemingway, and Alexa Chung. It was a fiesta filled with signature drinks, men on stilts, ice water refreshments, models running around in the grass in full length dresses in spring colors and a full live band showcasing her Spring 2016 collection. My favorite pieces were the cool I-phone cases. I was about to tell Alicia Keys and Maxwell to sing “Fire We Make” lol.  (more…)

mens fashion weekWell I know this isn’t the first time you heard me talk about menswear but now I have 3 full days to immerse myself in nothing but menswear. It’s been talked about but now it’s official. Get ready New York, July 13th through July 16th will be bustling with gorgeous men models as The CFDA is launching New York Fashion Week: Men’s. It’s a standalone showcase for American men’s fashion kicking off at Skylight Clarkson Sq. with the Spring 2016 collections.

“American menswear has never been stronger or more creative,” said Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA. “There are many reasons the CFDA is launching New York Fashion Week: Men’s. It gives the designers a business platform to show during their market dates and is an opportunity to demonstrate the collective talent of an important segment of our industry.”

The CFDA will organize the shows in conjunction with New York Men’s Market Week. Amazon’s fashion sites – including Amazon Fashion, East Dane, and MyHabit amongst others are sponsors for the event.

New York Fashion Week: Men’s will feature a mix of runway shows, presentations and special events. CFDA Board Member Tommy Hilfiger was an early champion of New York Fashion Week: Men’s and will participate in the inaugural event—so will Calvin Klein Collection, Michael Kors, Rag & Bone, Public School, Billy Reid, Todd Snyder, Michael Bastian, Ovadia & Sons, Robert Geller, Duckie Brown, Patrik Ervell, Orley and Kent and Curwen, with more names to be confirmed.
