Designers are always coming up with new ways to reinvent themselves and collaborate with cool people and products. Elie Tahari introduced a new scooter collection and teamed up with Vespa Brooklyn. Signature cocktails and 20% off Spring 2015 collection, this event celebrated this summer collaboration the right way. Loved this Fifth Ave decor of his store and I actually want a scooter now!
Our Look of the Week goes to a Fashion Plug favorite Ms. Solange Knowles in a Toni Maticevski Spring 2015 dress at the Moet Nectar Imperial Rose X Marcelo Burlon Launch Event which I happened to attend this week. Love dresses on the red carpet that are different and stand out. The split, structure and embellishment on the front look very clean and sexy on Solange and white ankle strapped heels to finish off the look definitely made this look of the week.
This week I’m giving it to British chameleon Rita Ora. She is wearing Jean Paul Gaultier’s asymmetric double breasted blazer and trousers. I love that she takes risk whether its her hair or fashion. She is giving me business woman and Queen of the Night all in one look.
Not going to lie either it also looks like the designer didn’t finish the other side and she is wearing a bikini top but nonetheless she is werkin it. What do you think?
Well with 18 days until we can officially say Winter is over, I stopped into Coach for its Spring event with Harper’s Bazaar. By far one of the best events for a brand I’ve been to in a while. Mostly because I had great conversation with the staff paired with wine, champagne and tasty little delights but also I was thoroughly impressed with the vision I can see through Coach’s new Spring line. Its been almost two years since Reed Krakoff left and Stuart Vever took over but I truly see the brand evolving. I know I haven’t owned anything Coach since freshman year of college which I can say was slightly over 10 years ago. Guess you can say I am not a huge fan of monogram and letters all over my handbags, shoes, and belts. (Yes you know you had to match your bag with your Coach sneakers and belt with the emblem hanging off your belt…and sometimes the bucket hat!) So you won’t catch me in Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton or COACH with its logo all over my accessories BUT subtle leather is a definite! I mean each of these brands are iconic for the fashion industry and if you step into the store especially in Columbus Circle you will dive into a land of the “new” Coach and find yourself wanting everything. Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself! (more…)
I know its too cold right now to even think about open toe shoes but here is something that will excite you for the warm weather. The new trend for spring/summer footwear are these sexy slides. They come in a variety of colors and textures, from high end to affordable.
Celebrities like Sarah Hyland are already flocking to the trend just like they once did for the nudist sandals that were spotted on every single female last summer(I’m not complaining as I love them) but it is now the slides turn in the spotlight! (more…)
