Love how WhoWhatWear has blossomed into a full fledge brand and now curated it’s own runway show during New York Fashion Week. This runway was a collaboration of their favorite brands and Spring 2017 trends. All of the pieces were shoppable in real time! My favorite part was the showing of the sign that stated “Equal Rights for All”. What a wonderful message to portray during the finale walk. Of course the event sponsored by Secret left guests with Secret deodarant in their gift bags and yes the best part…a Target gift card! (more…)

Now what designer do you know that ends the finale walk of his New York Fashion Week runway show by singing? None other than Dan Liu. As the models walked the final walk down the runway to give one last look at the phenomenal Fall collection Dan Liu sang us into Autumn. The looks were paired with scarves and/or long cutout stiletto boots that kind of took us back to the 60’s. As the dancer pranced and turned on the runway dressed in Autumn leaves, Fall was upon us. You better work! Yassss honey!!! lol The hashtag this past weekend was #LOVEWINS as America celebrated the official legal status of the members of the LGBT community being able to marry in each 50 states. What an amazing way to end Gay Pride month. First Caitlyn Jenner came out as herself to the world and we can’t forget that many of our notable designers of our time are openly gay and provide us with these great fashions we blog about. Celebrating down Fifth Ave in the Gay Pride Parade yesterday was one for the history books and the gays were out in full force. Heels, spandex and all strutting with confidence and just an array of happiness. Here is my little hommage to a historical moment in the US.
Ese Azenabor! This was the first time hearing of this designer and then after the finale I learned that its a duo behind the brand. The Fall/Winter 2015 Esé Azénabor collection is an unapologetic artistic demonstration of luxury, culture and appreciation for the arts. The collection is inspired by the kingship of Henry VIII, and the affluent monarchs of that era, featuring embroidered Jacquard, rich dark tones and brocade fabrications. “The first time I saw the painting of Henry VIII, I was attracted to the gorgeous details of his garments,” says Azénabor. “We thought to create a collection inspired by his era in a modernized women’s luxury ready-to-wear and couture collection”.The pieces were spectacular and elegant. I could see the audience was enjoying the collection as much as i was as photos were being snapped everywhere. The detailing and structure on the dreses were impeccable especially the cream and red show stopping dress right before the finale. Ese Azenabor is definitely a designer to watch. See more of my favorite looks. (more…)
Kate Hudson definitely made a splash at the Golden Globes in her white Versace gown and attended the Atelier Versace Spring 2015 runway show this past Sunday in Paris for Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. I love how she takes risks even though I love this dress on the runway shorter and I didn’t LOVE it at first, its grown on me lol. She shows us she can wear Versace and show her perfectly fit body in the sexy revealing dresses. The runway was filled with jumpsuits and dresses in black, white and blue with an added touch of sexy cut outs. Models Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls took to the runway. Take a look at some of my favorite looks from the entire collection of 44 pieces. (more…)
