Hakan Assaya F/W 2017 Presentation

Let me start by saying hands down probably the best show I saw all New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2017. It was dark, it was sexy, it was goth, it was political and just BAD in a good way. This is fashion, this is art and it was refreshing to keep sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for what was next to walk out on the runway. The collection shouted “I don’t care, I’m in control and I’m unstoppable.” That entails having freedom of thoughts…Hakan Akkaya is questioning whether people can or cannot live and think “as free as they want” regardless of their religion, race, language or sex. The brand emphasizes “Sporty Couture” in masculine and feminine silhouettes using black and white lined fabrics. Black dominates the collection and the zips, frill details, velvets, denim and metallic seemed fabrics unite in harmony with elegance.  (more…)

Look of the Week – Olivia Culpo

This week I’m giving the title to Olivia Culpo. She looked stunning as she attended the Gallant performance at the W. West Beverly Hills on Wednesday. The beauty queen stated her look was inspired by Posh Spice. I think she nailed it.

She is wearing a sequin Manning Cartell dress with metallic Jimmy Choo pumps

Gigi Hadid VMA 15

I love recapping awards shows because our favorite  celebrities we talk about everyday come out and show out. Representations of their style and personalities shine all over the red carpet and dissecting the looks and trends are always so much fun. The Fashion Plug is about to celebrate a year of being online and with fashion week in less than 2 weeks (also the first day of my 30th birthday lol) closing out August and starting off September will be fun. So lets get to it people. The carpet had metallics, gold tones, black long dresses, a little bit of model mayhem and of course some skin. I’m crowing the best and worst looks of the night. See here. Jlo Shines Bright at A.I. Bash

Always flawless: Jennifer Lopez flaunted her longs legs in an edgy zippered leather skirt and a pair of gladiator-inspired heels on Tuesday

Singer, actress and American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez worked a metallic look on the red carpet for the A.I. event.  She wore Sophia Webster Clementine metallic gladiator style boots, Thomas Wylde light grey skirt with slit(that zipper can take it to another level) and a Cedric Charlier metallic shirt. What do you guys think, can you work head to toe metallic?  This was one of the trends I mentioned for the holiday season. (more…)
