Virgil Abloh heads to Louis Vuitton

Visionary Virgil Abloh has had many collaborations with big names like Champion and Kith while being the creative director for Kanye West and for his own streetwear label, Off-White, yet he just struck gold with his latest news. Breaking glass ceilings, Abloh was just appointed Louis Vuitton Menswear designer. He is the first African American to head the mega European brand.

Brett Johnson Opens Store in the Heart of Soho

Its Fall 2017 in New York City and Brett Johnson has finally opened its doors in the heart of Soho. Nestled on a cobble stone street, his menswear is now available at 109 Mercer St. Launched 4 years ago, his collection of luxury menswear is handcrafted in Florence, Italy. His use of exotic skins and fine Italian fabrics is displayed all throughout the two floor store. As the champagne flowed, bloggers and fashion connossieurs viewed the Fall 2017 collection amongst actor Jeremy L Carver, designer Armando Cabral and Bob Johnson, former CEO of BET Network and father of Brett. Look of the Week – Chris Brown

I am giving Look of the Week to R&B superstar Chris Brown aka Breezy! Chris was on set for his new video looking like a snack. He is wearing YSL boots and friend Eva Marcille eyewear line called First Ave Eyewear. This is the best Chris has looked in awhile and as I’ve said if you want to look rich wear beige.

Mr. Turk Spring Style Event

Last week, The Fashion Plug attended the Mr. Turk spring style event which showcased all the bold colors the designer (pictured above) had in mind for menswear. #TBT Dior Homme


Last Thursday, I attended the Dior Homme Sneaker collection at their soho boutique location. When they say men dress better than women, I think they had Dior in mind. The clothes, the shoes and layout were impeccably set up for the fashionable man who is into his kicks. Designed by creative director Kris Van Assche, he went in a new direction which presented a casual yet formal appeal  (more…)
