By Akela Moore

The Quad is one of BET’s newest drama series that made its second season premiere last week.  As the beginning of Grammy Week in NYC for the first time in 15 years The Narrative, held a Quad Pop Up Salon at the Eva Scrivo Salon in New York. Guests included Emil Wilbekin, Claire Sulmers of Fashion Bomb Daily and Will Packer, Executive Producer of The Quad.  All enjoyed augmented reality hair dryers, cocktails and manicures. Soul Train Music Awards- Red Carpet Looks

Quick change: Wendy opted to show more of her long legs by changing into a metallic fringe mini dress

So I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend if you participated and over the weekend the previously taped Soul Train Awards aired last night on BET & Centric to end my weekend well. I have to say overall, I enjoyed the performances. Chris Brown gave me what I needed as always, Jodeci killed it and Lil Kim with Missy & Da Brat was truly remarkable. It felt like 1996 especially with an appearance from Mase to help pay tribute to Kool & the Gang. The fashion on the stage I loved for the most part especially Ledisi who rocked a black dress showcasing her slimmer body and young 13- year- old Mo’Ne Davis, first little leagurer to cover Sports Illustrated, in her white sheer top with floral embellishments and A-line skirt. She was super cute as she stood next to Laila Ali who was also dressed in white looking radiant. See more of my favorite Red Carpet looks.
