Gucci down to the socks…where??? Louis Vuitton and Coach who? It was nice to see a Spring/Summer 2018 collection from Dolce & Gabbana that was so fresh, so fun and literally just made you want everything in the store. It was like a “who knew” moment walking through the two levels of the Fifth Ave store in New York City. Of course the champagne was flowing, but the poker themed night left us all thinking this Spring its all about D&G.
Those who can’t attend…go around the corner and watch! Viewing parties popped up all over the city to watch the Grammys take place in New York and I attended one at the beautiful Skylark on 39th & Seventh Ave, a few blocks away from Madison Square Garden. In attendance was Bridget Kelly, Elle Varner, The Les Twins, Lea Robinson and industry media folks. The chammy was flowing and the specialty cocktails were named Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best New Artist. As Cardi B performed with Bruno Mars and Childish Gambino gave a smooth sultry performance you could hear oohhhs and ahhs from the crowd laughing and having a great time. Definitely would go again next year! (more…)

New York Fashion Week not only showcases new seasons of collections, runway shows and presentations. The Melissa Galleria in Soho New York held a private viewing of the Spring/Summer 2018 collection that also was a dual art exhibition of mmmmmBillboard by Rachel Rossin and Danaus Plexippus by Cecilia Salama. The artwork displayed through the shoes had a Aztec theme and offered several different sandal silhouettes. Surprised mostly by the rain boots as Melissa Shoes are known for their jelly like sandals and flats but the rich oxblood color was perfect for these rain boots. Take a look at their Spring 2018 mapping collection. (more…)
